Song about the control that technology and social networks have over humanity, on the control of their thoughts and even for certain, their actions
lyrics
The Cyber God
He lives in all our houses, making some of us grow, fed by our souls
Laying awake ready to close in on you, listening to all the fools
Operating all of our objects, controlling our thoughts, answering our questions
We drink from his mouth, spewing out what he tells us, without validation
love, friendship and Knowledge, I bring to you
I’m your Cyber God
He will find a way to cure the hunger, the loneliness and the pain
Drowning the alarm inside your heart, technology is there to shut your brain
Deep in the night he calls you up, and wanna know if you are willing to chat
love, friendship and knowledge, I bring to you
I’m on a mission to heal humanity
I’m your Cyber God
People look at their phones completely absorbed, like looking at a landscape
Nourished by the desire to have the most likes on their latest status
love, friendship and knowledge, I bring to you
I’m on a mission to heal humanity
Like your own heartbeat you’re gonna need me
You’re gonna love me, you’re gonna live, kill and breathe for me
I’m your Cyber God

Soothfully a phenomenal prog rock album—an instant classic. What motivates me to say so, is the music’s incredible expressiveness & its wonderfully cinematic song structures. Jargon is a very good fit with this band. It is quite evident that the band’s current lineup have great chemistry together & that they share a common affinity to this vein of music. I look forward to their next creation. Drifting Sun are definitely one of prog rock’s brightest lights. Thank you, DS!
